I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
